WEBSITE: The Squirrel In Our Window

"In July of 2009, a female squirrel made its nest (called a drey) in the outer sill of one of our apartment windows. We were privileged to be able to watch her birth and raise her babies over the next 8 weeks, until she took them all down to the ground for real-world training."

Better Then The Van

"Better Than The Van is a great way for bands and music fans to connect with each other for a practical reason. You'll meet new people, discover new music and help make touring a little easier. If that sounds like a good time, sign up and give it a try." -- betterthanthevan.com
Better Than The Van
"Adventurous travelers have already leveraged social networking for couch surfing, and now touring bands facing rising gas prices can try the same approach to find free places to stay on the road. Better Than The Van, from the same people who run Drummer Hunter, helps bands and fans meet for practical purposes." -- WIRED

The Art of the Title Sequence

Artofthetitle.com, is a great website dedicated to discussing in depth title sequences from TV and movies. Anyone who is into graphic design or animation will find these postings enlightening and full of inspiration.
"A compendium and leading web resource of film and television title design from around the world. We honor the artists who design excellent title sequences. We discuss and display their work with a desire to foster more of it, via stills and video links, interviews, creator notes, and user comments."
5 Second Films
Screw 48 hours... how about you make a film that 5 seconds long? Well 5 Second Films have massed a collection of super short films that are funny, sad, lovable and weird. Definitely worth at least 60 seconds of browsing.
Late For Work
"5-Second Films was created by Brian “Boss Man” Firenzi in the Spring of 2005, after being disappointed by so many 5,400-second films. The rules are simple: 2 seconds of beginning titles, 5 seconds of film, 1 second of end titles. If you take umbrage with these 5sfs running at an actual length of 8 seconds, we can only assume you’re no fun at dinner parties." -- 5secondfilms.com

We Feel Fine

I just love this book cover, which only becomes more fascinating after visiting the website and playing around with its interactive page. Seriously, its a good 10 minutes of fun dancing around with confetti filled with thoughts and emotions.
"We Feel Fine," by Jonathan Harris and Sepandar Kamvar is a book about human emotions collected from their website wefeelfine.org which itself is like Post Secrets but a little more straight forward. Definitely worth looking into if you need a cool Christmas gift idea.
"Sentiments spring to life via pages of user-contributed emotions and accompanying photos. Scientific analysis (how hormones, chemicals, and age affect behavior) and info graphics (maps charting which states report feeling most happy, lonely, or fat) are also included."

The Facebook Facelift?

"The Facebook Facelift is a self initiated project to challenge the form and functionality of Facebook. It's streamlined, structured, linear interface is more comprehendible, enhancing the user experience and absorbability of content." -- Behance Network
Well here we go again (sort of) and I don't know if I like it. Facebook is always making changes and most of them are not really for the better. I mean... "Don't fix something that isn't broke." It really just needs to be SUPER user friendly and nearly fully customizable concerning what kind of information you want to have published and to who. (sigh) Well this version looks pretty.

Dear Future Me

If you have this book, I want to borrow it. Things like this remind me that we're all human.
"Reading through the Dear Future Me letters is a sociological experiment, tapping into a culture obsessed with the future and all that it entails: self-improvement, anxiety, technological change--all in an increasingly global world. Matt Sly and Jay Patrikios created FutureMe.org in 2002. The idea is simple--anybody can visit the site and write a letter to him or herself to be delivered in the future. In addition, the writer can elect to have the letter be "public but anonymous," creating a repository of letters that are readable by all. Dear Future Me is a collection of the best letters. The letters in Dear Future Me are fascinating because they delve into the lives of ordinary people when they're being really honest." Amazon.com
So....send your future self an email at FutureMe.org.

FriendFeed
I don't know if I would ever use FriendFeed for personal reasons, but I think it would be a great website service for group projects and brainstorming sessions with coworkers and friends. I doubt its the next Twitter, but I think Google should be afraid.
"Facebook is acquiring content-sharing service FriendFeed, the two companies have confirmed. The entire FriendFeed team of 12 will transition to Facebook, with the four founders taking on senior engineering roles. The value of the deal has not been disclosed."

SHRIIMP Graffiti On Girls

So SHRIIMP.com is a website full of photos of graffiti on girls (and of course its NSFW). Well the reason why this caught my eye is because I already do this!
Not many people know, but I can draw and I used to draw tattoos and graffiti all over my hands and arms in class and in church. Once I got to college, I moved onto art books and eventually started drawing all over Margaret (my GF at the time).
Well today, I rarely draw anymore unless its on the computer and occasionally I'll doodle something across my GF's back. So this website has given me a great excuse to get back into it and try some new designs!
Well my tag name is "Loop-A-Leep" so keep an eye out for it. I found my 30 pack of Sharpies yesterday, so if you are interested in being a canvas, let me know. I'm always looking for new models, even for my photography.
Check out the website. It's artastic!

Websites for Bored People: MLIA

Remember the fascination you had with FMyLife.com and how you found the best embarrassing stories of all time and never felt like you could compare.
Well there is a website for you. It's called, My Life Is Average (MLIA). Some of this stuff sounds like the sarcastic humor of Michael Cera and I couldn't stop laughing.
Today, I was talking to a friend and I tried using a slang word that I thought would be cool. My friend said 'what?'. I rephrased the statement without using the word. MLIA
Today, I was using a public restroom. I chose the handicapped stall. I'm not handicapped, I just like how roomy it is. MLIA.
Today, I had dinner at a friend's house. I ate a lot less than I usually do so that they wouldn't judge me. MLIA
