Art Speaks: Sensory Box

Probably one of the coolest light installations(?) I have ever seen. I'm memorized by the colors.

"ENVISION: Step into the sensory box. Under this name hides the immersive experience offered by Alcatel-Lucent to its customers at the last Mobile World Congress. An experience-based video mapping designed by the agency and the Department SUPERBIEN New Media Agency \ Auditorium. The public was invited into a cube and discover an artistic vision of the tagline of the event: Transforming the mobile experience."

Ad: "NIKE Write The Future"

This is the best soccer commercial I have even seen. EPIC, is the only way I can describe it. Can't wait for World Cup!

NIKE WRITE THE FUTURE - FULL LENGTH VERSION

"As unnatural as it feels to fawn over an advertisement, to label this as nothing more than a run-of-the-mill commercial would be plain wrong. Featuring Nike's stable of superstar footballers like Didier Drogba, Wayne Rooney, Fabio Cannavaro, Landon Donovan and Cristiano Ronaldo, the short film is directed by Alejandro Inarritu ("21 Grams" and "Babel") and contains cameos from Roger Federer, Kobe Bryant and even Homer Simpson." -- Yahoo! FRESH MUSIC: The Shoes

The Shoes remind me of a funky dark basement club featuring two DJs with too much time on their hands. It's fresh, fun and dance friendly. Their remixes are perfect for any Friday night and thier sound can be so unique that it doesn't loose the indie vibe. I love their song "People Movin", since it has a N.E.R.D. sound.

Just Dance: The LXD

Just watch the video for the first guy (4:40). His robot is the sickest I have ever seen. I'm simply calling it "The Android."

"The LXD (the Legion of Extraordinary Dancers) electrify the TED2010 stage with an emerging global street-dance culture, revved up by the Internet. In a preview of Jon Chu’s upcoming Web series, this astonishing troupe show off their superpowers."

Brilliant little doc about NYC ad painters. Very touching and as an artist I feel their passion. (I ate my lunch while watching this.)

Animal Kingdom: Lyrebird

Growing up, I wanted to be a zoologist and I read everything I could about animals. Yet, somehow I've never heard of a Lyrebird. It's amazing and blows my mind every time.

Crystal Mercedes-Benz SL600

I'm not one for the flashy life style, but seriously... I'm jealous. I want one. Yet, I would love to see Daft Punk using these in their next music video.

D.A.D LUXURY CRYSTAL BENZ THE MOVIE-予告編

"Perhaps two of the most excessive cars on display on the recent Tokyo Auto Salon were the so-called Luxury Crystal Benz’s, each one a customized Mercedes-Benz SL600 studded with–we were told–300,000 Swarovski crystals, modified by Garson/D.A.D." -- Bouncing Red Ball

Celebrating Life: Josh Himan

Through most of my middle school and high school years I spent a lot of time in Centreville at one of my best friend's house. We were apart of a tight click and that's where I met Josh Himan. Thinking back, I remember him as an athletic joyful kid, who was all smiles.

Eventually we all grew up and lost touch. But last year, I came across a message about Josh. He had joined the military and was on his way back to the States. Unfortunately, he had suffered a life threatening spinal injury. It was shocking news and I think his sister started a blog, so we could all keep in touch.

Well last month ESPNU did a special report on Josh and his sister. It warms my heart to see that he's doing better and has such great support from his family. It reminds me to never take my life for granted. Keep up the good work, Josh.

I LOVE MUSIC PLAYLIST

If you haven't noticed there is a NEW "I Love Music Playlist" on the left side of my blog. I'm going to try and update this weekly and will notify you on Fridays when it's up.

Big thanks goes out to Yahoo, I Listen To Everything and Kickin the Peanuts for this blograde inspiration.

(FYI, those of you who are tech savy should be able to open the music links in a new window and rip the mp3 if you like the song.)

FRESH MUSIC: Sébastien Tellier

Sébastien Tellier is amazing. Why did it take me so long to find him. I shall only refer to him from now on as Pimp Jesus and Pimp Jesus is crazysexycool.

"Sébastien Tellier is a French singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He is currently signed to Record Makers, a French independent record label... The song "Look" from his Sexuality album, and "La Ritournelle" were featured in Ugly Betty's episodes "Crush'd" and "Dress for Success", respectively." -- Wikipedia

Just Dance: Myztikal

Myztikal - Britain's Got Talent 2010 - Auditions Week 4

The group work is very fun. Anytime, you can get the group poplock'n, I'm sold. Also, I like that they tried to mix things up a bit, but they need to be an all around powerhouse if they're going to do it. Probably works great as a street performance.

Movie Trailer: "Splice"

Splice looks like the kind of sci-fi summer movie that creeps you out for days. Still on the fence about watching it, since I don't do horror. [Watch the trailer]

You love her for the little things.

Found a great article on Yahoo, where a few guys share the little things about they're women that make them irresistible. Honestly, I can say it's all true.

For example... (and I won't even use my current relationship to validate my point) I always found it cute when a girl would wear my comfy pants. Whether it was soft PJs or basketball shorts, because she has to adjust them to make them fit better. Sometimes she rolls up the pants leg or rolls down the top. Either way it's goofy, but irresistibly cute.

"I know offering to drive is the gentlemanly thing to do, but when my now girlfriend got behind the wheel on our second date, it took the pressure off me to be so responsible for the night. I could kick back and relax." - Jeremy, 35, Atlanta

"It's great when a woman gets comfortable enough in the relationship to call me out for being ridiculous with a friendly but sarcastic 'Really, Tim?' The challenge is stimulating." - Tim, 27, Boston

"My girl holds a hair tie in her mouth as she pulls up her hair. That kind of multitasking is irresistible to me for some reason." - William, 31, Ann Arbor, Mich.

"Whether a man loves dating or hates it, we all agree: It's like a high-wire act. Sometimes you slip, plummet, and crash. Other times, she catches you. And when she does, you know she's a keeper."

Sunday

Tips on great wedding sex.

Hello to the few mortal souls that follow my blog besides my two groupies. This is a quick update about my life and my blog.

First up... the blog.

Okay, so I've been trying to be a little more organized with this thing. You may notice a few changes here and there within the next coming months. Especially since Version 27 is going to be a little more pimp smooth.

Anyways, big updates are that I'm going to be blogging more about relationships and that I'm adding "Just Dance" to the Friday line up. It will be mostly videos of dance groups that inspire me to put on my dancing shoes.

What does this mean? Less room for music (obvi), which is a shame. I'm sorry, but Monday and Wednesday are full and I want to leave Sundays available for my art work and personal posts like this. So I will aim to improve the quality of music that I post on my blog and I may try to figure out how to add a playlist that I can update weekly like "I Listen To Everything." Feel free to send me your thoughts and ideas... I might even read them.

Also, I've noticed that I post often about things concerning Star Wars or LEGO or sometimes LEGO Star Wars. FYI, they will never get their own "keyword label", but I'll try to mix it up more, but I do love that stuff.

So... Mondays are about art, advertising, fashion and humor. Wednesdays are about relationships, women and all things movies/film/TV. Fridays are about dance and all things music. Leaving Sundays to occasionally feature my art or rambling thoughts. (Ha, I'm so organized!)

Anyways, on to the next one... my life.

I'm more than half way through year 27th on the third rock closest to the sun. Still not sure why I volunteered to play this evil game. I work, eat, clean, sleep and surf the internet 7 days a week... actually I do more than that, but I love to complain.

Quick Update... Things I'm still doing: living with the GF in DC, working as a video editor and dressing like a college sophomore. Things I've stopped doing: grad school, saying yes to everyone and buying junk food. Things I've started doing: playing pickup basketball, investing in individual stocks and playing NBA Street Vol 3.

Currently, I'm in the process of reviving my passion for photography (this is a very good thing), building a mini home music studio and figuring out a system for paying off my school debt.

Well, that's it for now.

Love & Peace

Mr. Delicious, the Candlestick Man

PS> If you've read this for tips about great wedding sex... you need help. I grabbed the title from the cover of June 2010 issue of Maxim. I couldn't come up with anything witty enough for a title. Sorry.

The Sienna Family

Toyota doing its best to get back into the positive limelight with this new commercial for their Sienna SE. It's pretty funny and I'm pretty sure it will be my life in 5 years... And it's true, if I were you, I'd be jealous of me...

Music Video: "Next Girl"

The Black Keys are one of my favorite bands of all time, period. I wish I could play like them, since they sound like the deepest sorrows of my soul. Looking forward to buying their next album.

I can't stop listening to...

"Bruises" by Chairlift

I know that it was used in that iPod commercial, since it was playing in a loop at the Apple store in Vegas, but I never knew who made it. I love her voice and the vibe of the whole song. Sounds like Popsicle love.

Keep It Short: Pivot

Pivot is an excellent animation full of action and suspense. You need to turn up the sound to get the full impact of the mix of effects, camera tricks and color. It's really something, heck... I would have posted this just for the opening credits. (Story is King Award)

Ashley Greene x Sobe

Now Ashley Greene is a cute girl, but I'm very impressed with the quality of Sobe's ad campaign. It seems a little quirky, but it's honestly attractive, fresh and sexy... though Sports Illustrated body paints their models every year. Anyways, the photo gallery from the shoot is worth browsing.

Fashion Passion: Recycled Suit Tote

Scott - Recycled Suit Tote: Price $250.00

Probably one of the coolest bags I have ever seen. Yet, I don't know how something that is recycled can cost more than the original product? Well, at least Poketo is a pretty cool store/website.
