It's so simple that it helps you enjoy the awesomeness of the song. Love the synths. Xaphoon Jones is a genius.

31 Things: #7 Don't Work Hard

"Tip # 7. It's better not to lift a finger in the beginning."

The idea isn't to play hard to get. That's a great game before things get started. It's like flexing your muscles before a race or during warm up in order to psych out the other team. Not lifting a finger in the beginning is about not bending over backwards to make it work. Letting him come to you.

Let him plan the first few dates. Let me him buy mostly everything on those dates. Text him once first for every time he texts you twice first.

The idea is to not push things too quickly yourself. If he wants you. He will go out of his way to chase you. Spend time with you. If you do all the work and make it too easy, why should he ever need to take the initiative OR maybe he doesn't even see the sacrifices that you're making to spend time together. EXAMPLE. When I first started dating one of my ex's I would always try to hangout with her whenever I had free time. I worked a lot and was taking classes at night, so without me realizing it. She started scheduling her life around my schedule. To me, it seemed like our schedules matched up and we had time to spend together. To her, she was doing all this extra work to make things work. Eventually, she got tired of doing this and brought up the issue, which was a complete surprise. She did too much work in the beginning to make things work. I didn't have to chase her too much, which isn't good.

I know you want to see the guy and spend time with him, but you need to let him put in a little extra effort.

"Still, regardless of how shy or socially awkward he might be, stripping a man of this task subsequently strips a woman of one of natures inherent bitchassness filters. I mean, how the hell is he going to be able to protect you from lions and tigers and crackheads and sh*t if he wasn’t even able to muster a meek “hi” while in the meat line at giant eagle?" -- Sadie’s Suspect: Four reasons why women shouldn’t pursue men

God, I love this song.

I Love Music Playlist Updated

Finally, I've posted new music! Player's on the left. Sorry folks, it's been a few weeks since I've been able to pull this together. Too much has changed and things fell through the cracks. I moved, I got a new job and I got dumped by my GF of 4 years (who I was living with!), but I'm not dead yet. Haha! Take that karma! Anyways... see if you can figure out the theme and remember to support live music this summer.

Just Dance: Boogie Town

I thought we got past the dance movie genre, but this one might take the cake... for all the wrong reasons. Interesting effects though.

Filmmaking 101: Love the Process

This is a great article about the joys and pains of screenwriting (and filmmaking in general). Encouraging us to focus on the parts of the process we actually have control of... refining our skills, expanding our relationships and branding our business.

"In my humble opinion, it's important as screenwriters that you focus on the areas of your business you can control... So, as you embark on your journey, remember to enjoy the rituals. The experiences." -- "Love the Process", nalip.org

31 Things: #6 Put A Ring On It

"Tip # 6. It's shocking how much guys will talk about marriage. Until there's a ring on your finger, it will be better for you if you pretend you're deaf."

I agree with this totally, but I don't think guys talk about marriage to test you or play games. We too think of what it would be like to be shackled to you for life and sometimes these thoughts get expressed verbally.

Now if he keeps bringing it up all the time, I bet he's seriously considering it. Yet, before you pretend to be deaf and guard your heart, make sure you lay down some ground rules. Either tell him to shut up or give him some help. For example... I had a girlfriend, who would take the jewelry magazines that showed up at our apartment and she would circle all the jewelry she liked, even the engagement rings.

I know that girls think about it and plan it way before we even show up in their lives, so trust me when I say... we don't know what you want. So its better that you set boundaries... telling him to drop the matter or step up and put a ring on it.

"It is also important to listen carefully to what your guy is saying. Does he make jokes about how about 50% of marriages in America end in divorce? Perhaps he is afraid of marriage or just doesn't see the point of it. Communication is key in understanding your guy." -- A Guy's View: How to talk about the future.

FRESH MUSIC: RAC

RAC (Remix Artist Collective) are a remix geniuses. Everything sounds like a party that you wish were at. They add so much to every song and pump up the vibe with their bad ass synth lines.

Just Dance: Dance/MetroDC

"Dance/MetroDC provides resources, promotion, and collaborative opportunities for the dance community in the metropolitan DC area. We define the metropolitan area as Washington, D.C., Montgomery and Prince Georges Counties in Maryland, Fairfax County, Arlington County and the City of Alexandria in Virginia."

This is a great resource for dancers in the Washington DC area looking for a way to get back into the mix. Whenever I run into dancers from my AU In Motion days they all seem to wish that they had a good reason to lace up those dancing shoes. Well this website is loaded with opportunities.

Movie Trailer: "The Green Hornet"

This actually looks like a funny action flick. Not only do I find Seth Rogen's sense of humor funny and honest, but like Pineapple Express... his action flicks are awesomely surprising.

31 Things: #5 Say Anything

"Tip # 5. Guys want to get busy more than anything. They'll say anything to close the deal."

It's true. Men are programed to want to spread their seed and if they were not... mankind would have died out a long time ago. Yet this is not an excuse for guys to lie and be shady, but you should realize that the things he might be saying could easily have a double meaning. "You look pretty tonight," could mean, "I want to take your clothes off." Actually, everything he says could mean that.

So what do you do? Make him work for it. Hold out. Don't make it easy and set some ground rules. Either he will play your game and win OR the loser will move on to an easier target. Sounds rude, but you have to guard yourself and trust me the good ones will seriously work for it. The bad ones will say anything.

"Now, part of this is your fault. We do it because it works. All you have to do is play into a woman's 'happily ever after' fantasy. Women need to start exercising some discretion and thought before you sleep with a guy. You need to slow down and make the guy work a little bit." -- Will Men Say Anything to Have Sex With Women?

Okay, I'm shouting it from the mountaintops. I have a thing for Emma Watson! Moving on... nice video, cute story and a like able song. Yet, sometimes I feel like the 80s has returned as the Hipster culture. (Thoughts?) Oh, if you like The Killers you will like One Night Only.

Just Dance: Chris Brown MJ Tribute

"It was without a doubt the most divisive performance at the 2010 BET Awards... To cap off the scheduled Michael Jackson tribute, tarnished R&B star Chris Brown came out and did a flawless moonwalk, only to break down in tears as he tried to sing “Man in the Mirror.” -- Music Mix EW

Thank you Chris Brown. I'm still a fan.

His performance is a must watch if you can find it online. Damn you BET.
