This isn't a command but a suggestion to look into turning your craft making hobbies into a real income stream through Etsy.com and other online retail websites. They have a blog post series called Quit Your Day Job where they interview people (mostly women) who have quit their day jobs to make crafts and support themselves. Not every story is the same and some live on two incomes, but its the concept that I like. Owning your own business is one of the best ways to become financial independent.
