Project 365!

Via Flickr:
In 2012 I will document my year via Project 365! (technically 366 since it's a leap year). I will be taking one photo a day and will do my best to upload the same day as well. All photos can be found on my Flickr page and it will be organized! Mo goal is for these photos to be about my life, my work, and the people around me.

The tools i will probably be using are my iPhone 4, my Canon 40D and my Canon PowerShot.

Events to look forward to in 2012, My trips to LA - NYC - Texas, my new apartment (if I move), and the craziness of the political season. (If there are any special request of what you would like to see, please let me know. I'm sure I'll run out of ideas.)

As an avid Flickr user, I know this going to come in handy one day.

How to Batch Download Flickr Photos

"Bulkr is a complete solution to backup, browse and download photos on Flickr. I needed to download all my photos from Flickr but could not find a tool to do that on Mac. So here is one that works on Mac, Windows and Linux!." -- Flickr

Awesome Blogs: The Death of Youth

Here's a photo blog worth checking out if you like women, tattoos and the beauty of youth. The Death of Youth captures the intimate fantasy of a photographer troubled with growing older.

"This project stems from the idea that when a man turns thirty, he reaches a threshold where the possibility of fulfilling youthful fantasies ceases to exist. I have aspired to create a project that not only exemplifies the desires I had as a young man, but also illustrates the desires of a man transitioning into a new life period. In this sense, this series documents a lifestyle that I yearned for as a younger man, and one that I possibly still crave." -- thedeathofyouth.com

Video: tsurufoto

Tsuru managed a music blog I followed until he stopped to focus on his photo/video stuff. As it turns out, it's entertaining if you like Suicide Girls. Actually this is a rediscovery, because I stumbled across his first video a while ago. But I'm kind of excited that he stuck with it, because Isabella Misery is something special.

Photo: "White Out"

Stephen Thompson models for Christos Karantzolas's "White Out" series in Schön! 11. It's chilling in a Greek god kind of way. The dude is living marble, but so sharp. Definitely, questions whether the subject makes the image or the photographer?

Photo: "Through the Looking Glass, Darkly"

I'm not sure if I'm in love with Brendan Zhang's "Through the Looking Glass, Darkly" series or his model, Nastya. Either way it's dark, fun and beautiful. I definitely appreciate it's shady tones of blacks and blues.

Photo: "WAR"

I'm a fan of Sebastien Vincent's photography. The guy does sharp, colorful and bold, so well. His series WAR is proof of this. What great colors and style. Plus, he makes a video with every photo shoot, which I want to do SO bad.
