Music: Jack Peñate

Jack Peñate reminds me of a Glo-Fi smash up of the Killers and Vampire Weekend. I found him via Theophilus London's mixtape. I just love his voice and the chill vibe of the music.

Photo: Me In My Place

MeInMyPlace.com was created by a photographer who has made it his mission to photograph "real girls in their own place. Not too crazy and just a pinch of naughty."

Honestly, I'm impressed. So many women who are beautiful never get to feel it. His photos and the models redefine it all. Thanks.

ON A NOTE: I've become a huge fan of Tumblr. Don't worry. I'm not making plans to move there anytime soon.

Movies: Filmography 2010

Looks like there are a lot of movies I still need to see.

Video: Epic Docs Animation

Sometimes I see things and it makes me want to quit doing what I do and go raise potatoes. The level of creativity and ingenuity is so impressive it's crushing. This is one of those videos.

Film: Untitled Fiction Project

The only reason I've been watching this web series is because of the concept behind it.

The concept? Well it's "an unscripted dramatic web series... Each week, the Director and two Actors will shoot a one location scene of no more than 10 minutes (an episode). The scenes will be mostly improvised and each scene will build upon the story world created in the previous scene."

Music: "Bombay"

Definitely not the weirdest music video I've seen this year, but it's a close second. At least the song is catchy.

Photo: Playboy Tron

I've never bought a Playboy and I definitely consider myself to be more of a Maxim man, but as a photographer I was impressed with Playboy Tron. It's geekish, but classy and creative. Kudos.

Video: WJFF Trailer

This is a trailer/credit sequence I worked on for the Washington DC Jewish Film Festival. It's my second year in a row and I definitely used elements from last year's video, but to make the render time shorter I split the elements into their own sequences and tied them together. This definitely led me to paint myself into a corner when the list of small revisions kept getting longer. Yeah, lesson learned.

I've completely forgot how awesome this commercial is, but on a side note... I still haven't bought anything from this collection.

I love LCD Soundsystem and this has been my feel good song for the month. Thank God I've been dancing myself clean for years.

Music: Aloe Blacc

Now Aloe Blacc this is what I'm talking about. This is REAL music. His soulful vibe really puts me in a good mood and his lyrics are full of truth. Well, I added his song "Femme Fatale" to my play list (It's on the left), but I would love to see him and Mos Def mix it up.

This is a web commercial I made for the WDCEP.com website, which is actually kind of a neat tool to explore the city. I learned a lot about screen capturing and overall I think the music sells it.

I gotta thank Insight Clothing for their UNTITLED video series. I love how they put them together. They must have shot it off a TV screen and I'm so stealing that idea.

Raw fun with colors and squares. What more can you want from a pumped up song? (Also checkout their low budget video for the song, "The Drum". It's awesome!)

Music: Andreya Triana

Besides being straight up gorgeous Andreya Triana has such an amazing voice. I saw her own tour with Bonobo in November and she blew me away. She has so much soul and story in her voice that it's very easy to listen to.

I'm only posting live performances since she's the real deal, but do check out her single "Lost Where I Belong".
